The panel of judges had a tough job in selecting this year’s winners from such a strong selection of finalists. Alternatively, why not try one their special walking events with catering included at one of the carefully selected (and doggy friendly) partner businesses enroute. Membership is available giving enhanced benefits and discounts including a welcome pack for you and your dog. Walking the Wolds invite you to join them to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Wolds, learn about the area's history and even make new friends. An exemplary finalist in this category.

Broadgate Farm Cottages, close to Walkington near Beverley, provide self catering accommodation of the highest spacious standards in a lovely countryside setting. Home comforts in luxury surroundings add to the overall quality. The beautifully crafted cottages have been lovingly restored by Elaine & Steve and team, and they are continuously looking to improve and invest further to meet the needs of their current and future guests.

I was highly impressed by Acorn Glade’s passion for its environmental impact, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability. Their impressive online presence has been instrumental in attracting guests to the area, boosting local economic growth. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, and creates an unforgettable experience. A highlight is the charming addition of llamas roaming the grounds, adding a unique and delightful touch to the setting. Overall, their dedication to both the environment and community, combined with the breathtaking venue, makes this business truly exceptional.

Winner: The Balloon Tree Farm Shop & Café, Stamford Bridge
The Balloontree Farm shop and cafe is located just outside Stamford Bridge. On arrival the first thing we saw was a delightful halloween display including pumpkins from their own seasonal pick your own farm. Locally sourced products and ingredients are used in both the cafe and farm shop and the cafe has a wide selection of dishes on offer including delicious cakes, all served by the most friendly and helpful staff.

Winner: The Wold Cottage, Wold Newton
Wold Cottage is an outstanding place to visit. The Georgian building has been lovingly restored and provides a peaceful haven, luxurious rooms, superb breakfast and a warm welcome.
The grounds are beautifully kept and thoughtfully landscaped to provide opportunities for social and private seating. There are trails within the grounds for short walks to view the local wildlife.
Great effort has been made over the years to improve the carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices.
Katrina and Derek have a clear and creative vision, and this has been realised in the Wold Cottage of today - a wonderful place to spend time with friends or family.

The Rose and Crown is a beautiful Tudor-style pub situated next to the North bar walls in Beverley just a stone’s throw away from the racecourse and Westwood pastures. It's eye-catching display of flowers draws you in and once inside, you’ll discover friendly faces serving local food and drink in a traditional environment. Although you won't spot it from the front, be sure to check out the outdoor area filled with yet more flowers and twinkling lights.

A worthy finalist bringing a phenomenal number of visitors to the city. There is lots of creative engagement and attention to detail in creating a programme that is inclusive for everyone! Quirky marketing allows a fun and vibrant brand to be recognised and encourages engagement across the city by creating strong partnerships. There are many exciting plans for the future and how the city can be exposed nationally!

This is a delightful site, set in an area of countryside where there are pleasant views and peace, and quietness can be enjoyed. The cabins have a level of sophistication which make them very attractive to guests of all ages. Who wouldn't want to sit in a hot tub and look out over such a beautiful landscape? With easy access to a number of places of local interest, plenty of pubs and restaurants and great places to shop, this is an ideal place to spend time.
Georgina and her staff work hard to make sure that everyone has the best experience they could wish for.

From the moment we arrived, being greeted by Woldie Willow and the friendly staff, we knew we were in for a treat. There are so many immersive and family inclusive activities we really felt it is a place that takes you out of reality and homes in on the essence of being present and in the moment, all while enjoying the fresh Wolds air. The activities are so fun and engaging it allows parents to join in the fun too bringing imaginative play into light. We loved searching for the butterfly clues throughout. Such a fantastic day out - we would recommend this gem to anyone!

Our stay at the Highfield Hotel in Driffield was truly unforgettable. The beautiful grounds made us feel like we had stepped into a painting, with stunning views in every direction. The rooms were luxurious, each with its own unique theme, making it feel like we were on a film set. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, providing a level of comfort and style that will be hard to replicate. It’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience—a perfect blend of charm, elegance, and uniqueness.
