About Visit Hull and East Yorkshire

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) is the Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) for the region, recognised by Visit England and funded by both Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Our role is to connect and support businesses like yours, helping to raise the profile of the region and attract more visitors. By working together with key partners and businesses in the area, we aim to create a thriving visitor economy that benefits everyone.

Through our collective efforts, we provide opportunities for your business to grow, engage with a wider audience, and be part of showcasing the very best of Hull and East Yorkshire.

Let’s work together to make the region a top destination for visitors!

What is a Local Visitor Economy Partnership?

Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) were introduced as part of the UK Government’s response to the recommendations of The de Bois Review: an independent review of Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) in England.

We’re proud that Visit Hull and East Yorkshire were one of the first Local Visitor Economy Partnerships to be accredited by Visit England in March 2023. This accreditation gives us access to valuable resources and expert advice from Visit England, including toolkits and training programs covering important areas such as accessibility, sustainability, marketing, and business support.

We also have access to Government funding streams as well as a toolkit to help with bids to those streams.

VHEY Destination Plan

Visit Hull & East Yorkshire has consulted with local businesses and other key stakeholders to help shape our Destination Management Strategy.

This 5-year strategy focuses on the key priorities that will guide our efforts to grow tourism in the region. Take a look at the strategy and see how these priorities will benefit your business.
