The finalists have been revealed for the 15th annual Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) – with organisers promising the biggest and most spectacular ceremony yet.
The shortlist features 66 finalists across 17 categories, from major attractions and hotels to small independents and first-time nominees, alongside several familiar names hoping to repeat their success.
The REYTAs, organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), celebrate the very best in tourism and hospitality, and are widely recognised as the largest awards of their kind in the country.
This year’s awards will culminate in a glittering ceremony at Connexin Live, Hull, on Wednesday, November 19.
The event will be hosted by Hull-born comedian Amy Gledhill, fresh from being announced as a cast member in season two of the hit comedy show Last One Laughing.
Eligible winners at the REYTAs will also be put forward for judging into the prestigious national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Chris Blacksell, Chair of VHEY, said: “This is a landmark year for the REYTAs – 15 years of celebrating the very best of Hull and East Yorkshire.
“To see so many fantastic businesses shortlisted once again proves the strength, diversity and resilience of our visitor economy.
“These are the biggest awards of their kind anywhere in the country, and we can’t wait to showcase the incredible businesses we have operating in our tourism sector once more.
“The REYTAs are about so much more than trophies. They shine a light on the creativity, dedication and hard work of everyone in our visitor economy – from volunteers and family-run independents to our largest attractions.
“I’m incredibly proud of the role these awards play in giving our businesses the platform they deserve.”
VHEY, the area’s accredited Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP), is supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Hull City Council and a range of private sector partners.
Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The 15th REYTAs are set to be the most exciting yet.
“Every finalist represents the dedication, talent and passion that makes our region a must-visit destination. These awards don’t just celebrate businesses – they celebrate the people who pour their hearts into creating memorable experiences for visitors.
“Tourism is a cornerstone of our economy and our communities, and events like the REYTAs help to keep raising the bar.
“I’d like to congratulate every finalist, and wish them the very best of luck.”
The REYTAs were recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ in the Awards Trust Mark Accreditation, recognising their transparency, integrity and impact.
Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for tourism at Hull City Council, added: “Tourism is vital to our economy, our communities and our identity.
“The REYTAs give us the opportunity to reflect on the achievements of a sector worth hundreds of millions to Hull and East Yorkshire each year.
“We should never underestimate the impact that great hospitality, attractions and events have on our city and region. They shape how visitors see us, how they talk about us and how often they choose to return.
“The REYTAs bring all of this into focus, reminding us of the incredible breadth and quality of what we have to offer.”
Wykeland Group and Fred Marketing are the headline sponsors of the 2025 REYTAs, with their support helping ensure the awards continue to grow in scale and prestige.
All finalists will be contacted directly about attending the ceremony at Connexin Live, which is expected to attract more than 500 industry professionals for a night of celebration, recognition and entertainment.
