Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) is seeking expressions of interest for the Chair of our Advisory Board. This is an important part of our governance arrangements as we continue to deliver our recently accredited Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) and our ambitious Destination Management Plan for 2024–2029. The role is open to both existing and new applicants, and we warmly welcome interest from anyone who shares our commitment to strengthening and growing the visitor economy in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The Chair plays a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction, championing the sector, and bringing partners together across tourism, hospitality, accommodation, attractions, food and drink, transport, and wider visitor services. This non-executive position is offered on a two-year term with the option to extend for a further two years, enabling continuity and long-term progress at a crucial time for the region.
We are seeking individuals with strong leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting the visitor economy to thrive. Whether your background is in business, public service, or the not-for-profit sector, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a sector that delivers significant economic value, supports thousands of jobs, and enhances the experience of visitors and residents alike. Above all, we are looking for someone who can convene partners, inspire confidence, and guide collective action.
If you care deeply about the success of Hull and East Yorkshire’s visitor economy and want to play a key role in shaping its future, we invite you to put yourself forward. This is a rewarding and influential opportunity at the heart of driving the region’s visitor economy forward.
