Visit Hull & East Yorkshire (VHEY) are asking partners for their support with an important piece of work we’re undertaking.
We have commissioned Global Tourism Solutions (GTS) to deliver STEAM (Scarborough Tourism Economic Activity Monitor) reports for Hull & East Yorkshire. This independent modelling will give us robust data on visitor numbers, patterns, and the value of our visitor economy – both at a regional level and for key locations such as Hull, Bridlington, Beverley, the Wolds, and the Coast.
This is the first time VHEY will have this level of comprehensive, consistent data. It will help us to:
- Understand tourism trends more clearly
- Support funding bids and investment cases
- Shape local priorities and policy
- Provide evidence to help businesses and partners make informed decisions
- Develop a VHEY data hub for stakeholders
We are currently gathering information for 2023 and 2024 to feed into the STEAM model and we’re asking you to contact us if you’re able to share valuable data such as footfall figures, occupancy levels, bookings etc.
Any information you share will be used solely for the purpose of the STEAM reporting model. It will not be published in a way that identifies your business or organisation and will not be passed on for any other purpose. GTS aggregates all inputs so that individual datasets cannot be traced back to a single source.
